Tanks! campaign continues as the 3rd Panzer Division drives through Belgium

Our campaign moved into 1940 with two battles in Belgium. The Chasseur Ardenais fought well and the French tanks very narrowly missed their objective in a counterattack at Hannant, Belgium (sadly no photos of the 2nd battle). The panzers struggled against the thick armored French tanks!

Our third game in the 1940 campaign featured a German attack to capture a river crossing of the Meuse at Dinant. The fighting against the French became focused on the bridge as the battle reached its climax.  The Germans achieved the objective on the last turn.  It was a costly victory.
