1/2400 Oliver Hazard Perry class frigate by GHQ

Not a good background, but I am happy with how this model painted up.  So much detail to work with....I love GHQ!!!

1/6000th Scale Ships for Victory in the Pacific with Miniatures

I finally finished painting and applying the paper numbers for the Victory in the Pacific stats to the ships. A true labor of love. I just need to get the map printed and we will be ready to play Avalon Hill's classic game with miniatures! I still plan on basing up some 1/1250 aircraft for the Japanese and Allied land based air units. I already have some carrier aircraft ready to go. I hope you enjoy the photos. You can see my Japanese ships in earlier blog posts.
USS S. Dakota docked.
USS Iowa and USS North Carolina in the background.
Battleship Row, December 7th, 1941. Of course some of the ships are modernized, the island isn't right, the Vestal isn't there...but hey, it's cool!
USS Arizona
The Japanese I-boat stalks the heavy cruiser USS Indianapolis.
USS Baltimore escorts the light carrier USS Bataan.
A view of one of the contents of one of the two cigar boxes I use to store the ships.
The USS Hornet prepares to launch the Doolittle Raid.
The USS Houston sails with HNMS DeRuyter.
The USS Franklin with a lowered hangar elevator.

Panzer Lehr in 2mm/3mm now Complete!

This first picture is of Panzer Lehr's engineering battalion. I decided to use a river crossing to represent the engineers. All of the miniatures are from Pico Armor/Oddzial Ozmy. I made the scratch-built ferry using some wood and Plastruct styrene sheet and angle pieces. I think it came out nice. There is a Jagdpanzer IV on the ferry.
This next picture is the gepanzert battalion from Panzer Lehr. All of the minis are from Pico Armor/Oddzial Ozmy. Check out the Hetzer crossing the fallow field...and the RSO is towing a 75mm infantry gun...
The same unit as above, from a different angle.
Yet another Panzer Lehr panzergrenadier battalion. This one is supported by a StugIIIg and a 20mm quad flak gun. All of the models are once again from Pico Armor/Oddzial Ozmy.
Here is a shot of the final Panzer Lehr panzergrenadier battalion. In this case, they are supported by an 88mm gun. I cut some men from an Irregular minis 2mm stand and put them on for crew. The 88mm flak gun is a plastic 1/700 model from Pit-Road. Everything else is from Oddzial Ozmy/Pico Armor. I love the Sdkfz-7 tow vehicle.
With those stands done, Panzer Lehr is complete. I also have completed one panzergrenadier battalion for the 15th Panzergrenadier Division. It will show up in a later update!
