The North African campaign ends, off to the Russian Front!

 I am still running cooperative campaigns for our local group. Currently, we are running German tanks and our campaign started in the Spanish Civil War and we just wrapped up the fighting in North Africa. We fought two battles today. The first was based on the American counterattack at Sidi Bou Zid during the Kasserine battles. As it was in history, the American forces were wiped out. In the second game of the day, we had to protect Rommel during our retreat after the Kasserine battles. We lost all but one tank and it was Rommel himself that sealed the victory by distracting the last of the American tanks! In our campaign, when a tank is destroyed it is likely that only one crewmember will die. Today we lost a coule drivers, an ace panzer commander and Herr Rettemeier was seriously injured. Now we are off to the Russian front!
