New African Militia Troops for Peter Pig’s AK-47 Game: The “War Pigs”

Here are 6 new stands of militia, dubbed the “War Pigs.”   

They are commanded by a special leader figure from Peter Pig.

 Some helicopters for Peter Pig’s AK-47.

First some old Entex OH-6’s from their old pocket model kits.  Really low quality kit, but it came out nice with some TLC.

Next, some Gazelles.  They are diecast models and were originally in a yellow civilian color scheme.  I repainted them for military service.

 First off, the Peter Pig limousine…destined to transport a dictator of some sort.

Next up, some Peter Pig hardened militia painted as Cubans fighting in Angola.  The artillery piece and crew are QRF minis, iirc.

These T-72’s are from that Old Glory Command Decision lot I bought and repainted.

 Here are some pics of some stuff I painted recently for this most excellent game system!  

The Sherman tanks are old Command Decision models.  I got them in a large lot, but they were missing hatches, MG’s and crew.  I added the missing pieces from my collection of Battlefront bits.  These tanks are meant to be Ugandan tanks that Israel upgraded and sold to Idi Amin’s army.  The smoke discharges on the turret were an interesting Israeli modification and I added these by cutting some Plastruct rods to size.

The Berliet truck is a Roskopf model that I painted.  I added some Old Glory and Peter Pig crew and a recoilless rifle made by Quality Castings.

These Toyota truck technicals are from Peter Pig, as are the MG’s.  The crew are Old Glory.  I really enjoyed painting these models.
